Samantha (Sam) Portillo
Welcome! My name is Sam Portillo, and I am the founder and lead trainer at Trusted Tails LLC. As a Certified Training Partner (CTP) with the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior (KPA), a CGC evaluator for the AKC, and a FEAR FREE Certified professional, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my training programs.
I've been an avid animal lover since childhood, and my passion for pets led me to a career in the pet service industry, where I have spent the last 7 years. For over 5 years, I have been dedicated to professional dog training, helping dogs and their owners build trust and achieve harmony through positive, force-free methods.
I believe that trust is the cornerstone of any meaningful relationship, and it is at the heart of my training philosophy. My goal is to foster a deep bond between you and your dog, using techniques that earn your dog's trust and encourage positive behavior.
